Historical background So... the background for this ship is just one big fanfiction. The idea is that after the end of World War II, the Soviets would have seized Kriegsmarine ships, as they did in reality with Graf Zeppelin, for example. Among these ships would be an H-39-class battleship (Friedrich der Grosse). The ship would have then been modernized, especially the anti-air and radar systems. Afterward, the ship would have been transferred to the People's Liberation Army Navy in the early 1950s. In World of Warships, the ship appears as it would be fitted in 1955. She is equipped with the same Heavy Repair Teams consumable as Lüshun and gets a Short-Range Hydroacoustic Search. However, she retains the German improved HE penetration, secondary dispersion, and, to some extent, secondary range.
