Supertest: European Tier VIII Cruiser Kriti
Update 15.8 will bring to the game a new line of cruisers. These will be the European cruisers with ships from nations such as Sweden, Poland, Greece, Sweden and, you guessed it, Sweden. There is only one ship that was actually built, being the tier VI, and for the rest, it's a lot of what-if or straight-up Wargaming creations. These cruisers will work as torpedo-focused ships with high speed and low detection range, and the same torpedoes as the European destroyers with high speed but low damage.
Representing Greece, here is the Tier VIII, Kriti.
Historical background
Kriti, just like Ignacio Allende, is based on the U.S. Navy "6-inch anti-aircraft cruiser Scheme C" from 1940.
Similarly, Seattle is based on the "6-inch anti-aircraft cruiser Scheme A".
These designs were part of a series of proposed designs of anti-air cruisers meant to be armed with dual-purpose 152 mm guns. The idea was that the larger caliber compared to the Atlanta-class' 127 mm guns would make these anti-air cruisers more effective against surface targets as well as high-altitude bombers.
Eventually, this series of designs would lead to the birth of the Worcester-class, with the lead ship entering service in 1948, well after the Second World War.
As for Kriti herself, if the Scheme A had been built by the U.S. Navy, one of these ships could have been transferred to Greece after the Second World War. The ship was also modified to incorporate four triple torpedo launchers, two on each side. An interesting thing to note is that these are Italian torpedo launchers. I guess they are supposed to be part of the war reparations, possibly taken from two of the Soldati-class destroyers. Beyond that, the B hull is meant to represent the ship in 1952.

As a reminder, this is a ship in testing; anything can change, so don't treat her as if she's already been released.

The Armor
External armor protection:
Kriti seems pretty solid, all things considered. While her firing range is limited, she gets a respectable DPM and, with the U.S. ballistic, can easily abuse island covers. She also gets one of the best concealments among tier VIII cruisers, allowing her to sneak around and reach advantageous positions.
It is also with Kriti that we start getting some respectable torpedo armament, as she gets twelve of the same torpedoes as Östergötland.
One last thing to note is that with Kriti, you start getting four charges of the improved Repair Party, and the Engine Boost now gives 30% extra speed instead of 20%.
Regardless...
